Econ-o-miler reference

[edit]

The following text was added to this article on April 27, 2005:

"Studebaker also offered the Econ-o-miler in 1958, based on the 120½" wheelbase President sedan. The Econ-o-miler used the Scotsman's frugal exterior and interior elements and was also pushed as a taxi model."

In looking through my Studebaker reference guides, production schedules, etc. I can't see where this was considered its own model in 1958. There are references to this for 1959-1960 stretched wheelbased Larks, though. The only link I can find on the web is a site in French that references an eBay sale. Can anyone provide additional support (production stats, etc.) and where it was marketed, to verify this?

If the material can not be verified, or referenced, should it be removed? If it can be verified, does it deserve its own article on Wikipedia? Stude62 00:09, 15 July 2005 (UTC)
